The St. Mary’s Odibo Mission is endowed with an Archive with rich resources which are in fragile condition and in dire need of preservation and restoration for perpetual and everlasting uses. From the early days, the Mission has been endowed with an active own Press (with printing done in Cape Town) of a great number of Mission publications where early experiences and work have been recorded and shared with overseas and South Africa partners/supporter are available in the Archive – named the Lukenge Archives. These resources and publications included: the Ovamboland Mission Quarterly Paper and the Maramba Publication. Other Publication include: Diocese of Damaraland publication (from the Bishop headquarters in Windhoek, including: Diocese of Damaraland Newsletter. There are also occasional South African publications, from the headquarters of the Archbishop in Cape Town, including: the South African Church News; South African Church Times; Anglican News, Seek, Newspaper of the Church of the Province of Southern Africa. The Lukenge Archives at St Mary’s Odibo Mission hosts valuable resources, including these internal newsletters, newspaper article, books and other publications dating from 1924 to date. The Library Services, adjacent to the Archive, serves its learners/students and both the archive and library are open to the public; to be used by interest community groups/ members and researchers alike. The St. Mary’s Odibo School continues to host a modest library which requires new and up-to-date resources and some space upgrading to make it conducive for learning.
