Saint (St.) Mary's Odibo Mission was founded in 1924 by the Reverend George "Lukenge" Tobias at Odibo Village of Ohangwena Region. The St. Mary's Odibo Mission is established as a nonprofit, faith-based organisation and registered as a welfare organisation (WO71). The mandate of the Mission is to provide spiritual, educational, health and other compassionate services aimed at improving and promoting the socio-economic and well-being of humankind. Since its establishment, the Mission infrastructure and services have been, and continue till today, to be operated on religious and moral grounds for the purposes of delivering benevolent services.
Since its establishment, the St. Mary's Odibo Mission has committed itself to improving the wellbeing of all people, Anglican and non-Anglican, Christians and non-Christians. It is therefore a sustainable faith anchored Mission, dedicated to provide an effective and efficient framework for the protection and promotion of quality spiritual, health and educational services as well as for the wellbeing of its surrounding communities. Through the St Mary's Mission, we provide a principle-centred service(s) through teamwork and partnerships, including mutual responsibility and ownership by our beneficiaries. We are dedicated and committed to contributing towards the development and nation building; to ensure that our performance and contributions are focused on the satisfactory of the Anglican Diocese in Namibia which justifies our existence. Our current programmes and activities are implemented through the Mission Management Office and the six (6) Departments; namely: Accommodation and Conference Facilities, Health Centre, High School, Host Shop, Mission Workshop and the Parish.
